The Commission has noted with distaste and shock the behavior of the police in the circulating video.
As a Commission we have been dedicating our time to sensitize members of the REPS on the rights of suspects and the humane apprehension of the people who happen to be in conflict with the law and the conduct of the police is a disappointment to the Commission to say the least. Nonetheless, we will implore the National Commissioner to come out and condemn such behavior of the officers and further deal with the concerned officers accordingly. As the Commission we are still not privy to what transpired save for the clip which was circulating and it would be inappropriate to pronounce on the issue without informed details.
